Using Vector LiveSafe for Campus Events

As the school year kicks into high gear, student, faculty, and staff calendars start filling with sports games, student performances, career fairs, and more. Especially with additional covid-related protocols, these events require reliable, ongoing communication and coordination to ensure that everyone knows event details, how to ask questions, and where to access health and safety resources if needed.

  1. Upload relevant campus event locations to the Safety Map, such as sports fields, auditorium locations, and more.

  2. Add event information and documents to the Resources section of the LiveSafe Mobile App. This can include schedules, location maps, relevant policies, and more.

  3. Send updates before, during, and after campus events with pertinent information about event signup, time and location details, safety guidance, and Security resources. Be sure to send updates in the event of inclement weather, location changes, or other considerations that arise. Note: In the event of severe weather or a significant health or safety concern, consider sending a Broadcast Check-In (video here) to ensure that community members are safe.

  4. Ensure that LiveSafe Administrators know how to send Broadcast Check-In messages and remind them to respond quickly to all incoming tips.
